Gloucester native Charles Lowe (1932-1981), was the first full-time photographer at the Gloucester Daily Times and worked there from 1957 to 1981.  The exhibition showcases over 100 photos that cover events in Gloucester during the full twelve months of 1975, which is one of the more complete time frames in the museum’s vast collection of Lowe’s photographs. For a closer look at these images and further identification of the subjects portrayed, consider watching Award Winning Photos of Charles Lowe in the 1970’s, another video from the museum’s archives, which captures a slide show and panel discussion held at the museum that was hosted by past editor of the Gloucester Daily Times Peter Watson.

In conjunction with the exhibition "Charles A. Lowe Photos: Gloucester 1975", March 7 - May 31, 2009
