Portrait painter Margaret Fitzhugh Browne (1884–1972) was an important member of both the Boston and Cape Ann art scene. Locally, she maintained a studio in Annisquam and was an active member of the North Shore Arts Association and the Gloucester Society of the Arts. This catalogue accompanied the Cape Ann Museum's 2011 exhibition of the same name and includes an essay written by the museum's Chief Curator Martha Oaks.
